This project focuses on creating a thoughtfully designed family home that evolves with the homeowners through every stage of life. The goal is to craft a space that provides comfort, functionality, and longevity—supporting them from their working years into retirement. With a focus on spaciousness, accessibility, and timeless design, the home will accommodate the entire family for gatherings and future generations. Every detail will be tailored to meet the client’s present and future needs, ensuring a forever home that balances beauty, practicality, and lasting value.
This project presents a unique challenge due to the complexity of the plot, requiring a thoughtful approach to manipulate the terrain in order to accommodate the spatial distribution across multiple levels. The design strategy embraces the natural topography, maximizing both the views and the integration of exterior living spaces to create a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.
With the homeowners envisioning their forever home, the design draws inspiration from their extensive travels and the diverse places they have lived. The challenge was to blend these global influences into a cohesive architectural language, balancing elements from various cultures while ensuring harmony with the Spanish setting. By thoughtfully curating materials, spatial organization, and functional elements, the home reflects their personal journey while remaining deeply connected to its environment.
